What you will do 

As a Web Support Analyst, you ensure that web applications like SharePoint, OpenText Content Server, Microsoft Dynamics, and Power Apps run smoothly by monitoring performance, troubleshooting issues, and supporting users through help desk tickets.  You define and document requirements, test and deploy updates, and recommend improvements to optimize systems.  Your role also involves managing user accounts and security, coordinating with developers, Database Administrators and Network Services, and keeping documentation and user guides current.  In addition, you provide training and communicate system changes or updates, helping the organization maintain reliable, secure, and efficient web-based services.

 

What you need to succeed

Education

  • Holds a degree from a recognized university or a community college diploma in computer science, information systems, or another discipline relevant to the position, or an acceptable combination of education, training/certification, and experience.

Experience

  • Experience supporting agencies applications such as SharePoint, OpenText, or Microsoft Dynamics to assist business operations and service delivery.
  • Experience analyzing business and technical requirements, and developing infrastructure specifications, system designs, and implementation plans
  • Experience in systems security administration
  • Experience collaborating with technical support teams to troubleshoot issues, monitor workflows, and ensure service level objectives are met.
  • Experience with hybrid or cloud-based application environments and their integration with on-premise systems (an asset).

Knowledge

  • Knowledge of business process automation and workflow configuration, including the use of templates, forms, and standardized tools to streamline and support organizational processes.
  • Knowledge of system security principles and access control mechanisms
  • Knowledge of incident management and system monitoring practices.
  • Familiarity with Government of Canada standards related to web usability, Common Look and Feel (CLF), and information management practices is considered (an asset).
