What you will do
Performance and review services to senior management for the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada (NSERC) to ensure the effectiveness and efficiency of the Council’s programs, and provision of research, analyses and strategic advice to ensure sound and evidence-based decision-making by NSERC’s senior management. To manage the compilation, analysis, reporting and performance measurement of Research Partnership grants; to oversee the maintenance of final reports in the corporate database; to ensure the accurate recording and implementation of the tools for online reporting and to develop support tools and deliver training for program staff related to databases, software, and technical tools.
What you need to succeed
Education
- Graduation with a degree from a recognized university in a relevant field of study (e.g. Computer Science, Business, Data Science, Mathematics), and/or an acceptable combination of education, training and experience related to the position.
Experience
- Experience in maintaining databases and extracting data from large corporate databases, for the purpose of
data manipulation, verification and production of statistical reports - Experience in conducting statistical analysis and in report writing
- Experience in using various software packages (PowerBI, MS-Excel, MS-Word)
- Experience in developing procedures and providing training to staff
- Experience in using CRM software
- Experience in programming in an environment such as visual basic or excel macros is an asset
- Experience in developing surveys is an asset
Knowledge
- Knowledge of Council's policies, objectives, and program structure
- Knowledge of the programs administered by the Council
- Knowledge of statistical procedures and methods
- Knowledge of mathematical and statistical concepts
