Job Summary
The IM Analyst assists with the setup, development, deployment and maintenance of the IM Electronic Document and Records Management System, EDRMS. The Analyst analyzes, helps design, develops, adapts, tests, maintains and documents EDRMS. The Analyst also assists in the development of the Information Architecture, develops and provides training in Information Management and EDRMS operations, assists and supports users with Information Management and EDRMS operations, develops and maintains technical elements and provides technical expertise to proactively maintain and grow the system according to user need.
Education
- A Bachelor’s level degree or a community college diploma or a certificate in information management, records management, information technology or an acceptable combination of knowledge and experience
- Foreign Credential Validation against Canadian Standards
Experience
- Recent and significant experience administering and supporting an Electronic Document and Records Management System (EDRMS) such as GCdocs (OpenText Content Server)
- Experience providing advice and guidance to clients on information management policies, processes and procedures
- Experience gathering, analyzing and documenting end user needs and requirements
- Experience supporting an electronic document and records management system (EDRMS) in a federal government organization (an asset)
- Experience analyzing and preparing reports on IM performance (an asset)
- Experience in user experience design (an asset)
- Experience in change management (an asset)
Knowledge
- Knowledge of Government of Canada information management policy instruments
- Knowledge of trends and challenges related to information management
- Knowledge of EDRMS functionality and configuration
- Knowledge of information architecture design methodologies
Competencies
- Capable of analyzing complex situations to interpret client requirements effectively
- Capable of communicating effectively, both orally and in writing, with diverse audiences individually and in groups
- Capable of working and prioritizing task under pressure
