What you will do
As an Event Coordinator, your responsibilities will include:
- Supporting the Events Manager in the planning, coordination, and delivery of internal and external events led by the Communications team. You will contribute to all stages of event delivery, from initial planning and logistics coordination to on-site execution.
- Supporting a wide range of activities, including staff events, award ceremonies, funding announcements, and participation in external conferences and outreach initiatives. Liaising with internal teams, external service providers, and stakeholders to ensure seamless event delivery.
- Supporting project management by coordinating workflow and timelines within the team to ensure the timely development and delivery of event-related products and materials. Developing social media content related to events, outreach activities, and senior leadership engagements.
What you need to succeed
Education

Secondary school diploma and relevant work experience.

Project or event management certificate is considered an asset.
Experience
-
Experience providing administrative, logistical or coordination support for projects, events or initiatives.

Experience coordinating multiple tasks and timelines in a fast-paced environment.
-
Experience liaising with internal clients, stakeholders, and/or external service providers is an asset.

Experience supporting the planning and delivery of internal and/or external events is an asset.

Experience developing social media or promotional content is an asset.
Knowledge

Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint).

Knowledge of administrative and logistical coordination practices.

Knowledge of project coordination and event planning principles is an asset.
