What you will do 

As a Project Manager, your responsibilities will include:

Leading a variety of IT projects—from application development to infrastructure and service focused initiatives—ensuring they are planned, executed, and delivered successfully. In this role, you’ll work closely with stakeholders and cross functional teams to keep projects aligned with our bi agency IT strategy, goals, and commitments.

This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a collaborative environment and enjoys driving projects forward with clarity and consistency.

What you need to succeed

Education

• Successful completion of a post-secondary educational program in Business Administration or a related field, or an acceptable combination of education, training or experience.
• Certification as a Project Management Professional from the Project Management Institute, or Prince2 Practitioner certification in Project Management or PROCI Certified Change Practitioner is considered an Asset
• Foreign Credential Validation against Canadian Standards

Experience

• Experience preparing project documentation. (such as but not limited to:  business case, project charter, project management plan, requirements etc…)
  
• Experience planning, scheduling, tracking and reporting progress using digital tools. 
• Experience establishing and negotiating project deliverables with multiple working groups or stakeholders including influencing management and/or executives.
• Experience leading multi-disciplinary IT project teams to deliver IT projects within established timelines, scope, and budget objectives.
• Experience managing IT projects or IT system updates using an iterative approach.  (Iterative approach is defined as taking an Agile approach or deploying in small increments rather than a single large deployment.)

Knowledge

• Knowledge of project management best practices
• Knowledge of project management gating processes
  
• Knowledge of systems development life cycle (SDLC) is considered an Asset
• Knowledge of change management best practices is considered an Asset
